Gaku Space's story is that of legend!


Born in Tokyo, Japan, Gaku decided to forgo a baseball career to pursue his passion for acting. Relocating to Los Angeles, he studied acting and became an advanced martial artist in Filipino Kali and Japanese sword fighting.

In 2014, he landed a lead role in the live-action series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist by Capcom as Gouki and followed that up with his best known role as Genji from Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch.
Not stopping there, His other voiceover credits include X-Men: Destiny, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Heroes of the Storm.

Gaku has also had guest roles in episodes of Westworld, How I Met Your Mother, and Shake It Up.

Nev Pearce spoke to Gaku for the Everblack Nerdcast about his amazing career, Supanova,  working with Blizzard, what he treasures most from his fans and his own collection of Genji memorabilia!

From Middle-earth to Sydney and Perth, U.S. pop culture mainstay and The Lord of the Rings lead Elijah Wood is leaving The Shire and heading to Australia for Supanova Comic Con and Gaming in June!

Best known as Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's epic fantasy trilogy, and star of the Netflix cult hit Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, plus a slew of other gaming, film, TV and animation credits to his name, Wood has been confirmed as a Supa-Star guest for Supanova’s Sydney (21–23 June) and Perth (29–30 June) events.


In addition to Elijah’s star power, and fresh from a stint on Star Trek: Discovery as the beloved Captain Christopher Pike, Anson Mount has also been confirmed. Mount is also known for his roles on Inhumans and the western drama Hell on Wheels, and has featured in Lost, Smallville and more.

Both new guests join previously confirmed Supa-Stars Stephen Amell (Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, TMNT: Out of the Shadows), Robbie Amell (The Flash, The Tomorrow People), David Ramsey (Arrow, The Flash, Dexter), Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Gaku Space (Overwatch), Dragon Ball Super: Broly’s Christopher Sabat and Sean Schemmel (Sydney only), Metal Gear Solid’s David Hayter and Paul Eiding (sponsored by Armoured Heaven), plus many more including stars from the original Mad Max franchise.

Supanova is a celebration of fandom, where the worlds of film and television, fantasy, comic books, anime, sci-fi, cartoons, books, gaming and collectables comes to life! There’s something for everyone, including ‘cosplay’ (costume-role play), fan clubs, musical performances, creative master classes, celebrity Q&As, wrestling, tournaments, competitions and an expo full of shopping possibilities.
