INTERVIEW : DEVIN TOWNSEND talks Empath, Australian solo tour and playing Strapping Young Lad material again in the future!

Recently Canadian progressive heavy music genius, Devin Townsend announced a very special Australian ‘An Evening With’ solo acoustic tour to tie in with the release of his latest critically and fan acclaimed masterpiece EMPATH.

 

The intimate evenings will feature Devin performing tracks from across his catalogue, as well as taking part in a Q&A where fans will get to know more about what Devin is up to at this stage in his career, proving to be a unique & special experience for all in attendance.

Nev Pearce had the chance to sit down with Devin for the Everblack Podcast to talk about the tour, the massive task of creating Empath, songs that he has written down under including Bad Devil and Planet Rain, his first ever Australian tour where he stayed in hostels, how metal is still a big part of who he is and playing STRAPPING YOUNG LAD songs again!
