[Interview] Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation talks Death Atlas and Australian Tour
Updated: Feb 8
When it comes to modern death metal, Cattle Decapitation is a force to be reckoned with.
Since the release of their groundbreaking masterpiece Death Atlas late last year, the band have seemingly taken the heavy music world by storm.
Even though Death Atlas has without a doubt thrown a spotlight on the band recently, Cattle Decapitation has been working their asses off for over 20 years, touring the world, perfecting their craft and not so quietly playing a massive part in the evolution of the sound of the genre through their fearless songwriting approach.
With only a week to go before Cattle Decapitation and their mate's Revocation hit our shores harder than the Coronavirus, most venues are already either close to selling out or been upgraded due to huge demand.
To say that they have made an impact on our country is an understatement and each time they return the numbers of their legions of Aussie fans grow in staggering numbers.
We had the chance to talk to Cattle Decapitation front man Travis Ryan on the Everblack Podcast about their highly anticipated return down under with Revocation, their latest album Death Atlas, his insane vocal technique, those bring back the plague memes and their fundraiser for Cobargo Wildlife Sanctuary.
