[INTERVIEW] Milla from BLACK RHENO talks 'Noise Smasher', EYEHATEGOD tour and more
Australia’s own brutal groove masters Black Rheno are going to drop their long awaited debut album ‘Noise Smasher’ on October 25.
Not only that, the boys will be hitting the road supporting sludge metal legends Eyehategod in Japan, Australia and New Zealand this November for one of the heaviest tours of the year!
We caught up with Milla for The Faction and Everblack Podcast to talk about the new album Noise Smasher, Australian tour with Eyehategod, the video for the single ‘Human’ and his advice on doing whatever it takes to be a touring band.

Black Rheno have built a reputation from their intense live shows and all or nothing attitude, which is something they carried over into the studio and poured into their debut. Noise Smasher was captured at Housefox Studios in Sydney with their vocalist Ryan Miller putting in overtime as the producer. The band also worked closely via intergalactic trans-communications (email) with Kurt Ballou (Converge) from GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts. Black Rheno demoed and tweaked their way until the band and Kurt felt everything was just right, then Black Rheno hit the studio hard to lay down this self-produced debut record with Kurt stepping in on the mix.
