Since hearing Cult Leader on the Jamey Jasta podcast about six months ago I quickly became a massive fan of the band, digging deep into their history under the previous band Gaza and discovering a whole new genre of heavy music that was right in front of me the whole time.
Their sophomore release ‘A Patient Man’ is still in high rotation and has made it's way into my top 10 albums, so when the band announced they would be touring Australia I was beyond stoked for the opportunity to see them.

This week the highly anticipated Cult Leader and LO! tour kicks off on Wednesday night in Brisbane at the Crowbar for what some are calling the heaviest gig of the year.

This also marks the first time Cult Leader have toured Australia and with the success of their latest album 'A Patient Man' you can guarantee that the gigs are going to be phenomenal and not to be missed.

Starting off as a solo experiment of Swiss-American mastermind Manuel Gagneux in 2013, Zeal & Ardor have quickly become one of the most talked about bands on the planet since the release of 2018's Stranger Fruit, leading them to play some of the biggest festivals around the world and earning them legions of fans in the process.

Making their debut Australian appearance alongside Deafheaven at the Perth Festival in February 2019, Zeal & Ardor will then perform a string of exclusive headline show...

It's that time of year again, when critics release their top 100 songs/albums/tours and give you a run down on why ‘Freshie Lil Zwan has the dopest beats of the year’.

But we at Everblack are simpler folk. So we asked each of our writers what really blew their hair back this year and this is what they came back with, a diverse and eclectic mix of bands and artists who went above and beyond their creative output and delivered some truly inspiring stuff that will no doubt still be in high rotati...
